There should be more depth.

I wasn't sure that you could pull it off at the beginning because of how weak the plot felt, and my suspicions seem to be right. The only thing you need is more depth. Since this is only the second in the series, barely anywhere in the plot and it says to be concluded in the next episode, it leads me to the conclusion that this series is lacking in story depth (so far that is). This appears to be the beginning of a story - a man embittered by the death of his wife due to the unbending rules of a device. The only thing is, he has to do something now or it seems almost pointless. I could be wrong though, depending on where you take this in the next episode, I'm just uncertain on how you will fit in a meaningful plot in the next one.
On the flash - great animation and graphics, voice acting was decent. Remember that the plot has to go somewhere, that's the thing you need most here as far as I can tell.

DJJ-asshole responds:

Don't worry.

I make movies the way I feel like it, so wether there's a plot or not, I just want to finish telling a story I made up.

But somehow, I can guarantee you, the story of Red is to allow the story to grow towards the plot.

Very good

It was funny especially when one of the guys says, "trace bitmap faster illwill..."

I admit I didn't think it was going to be worthwhile in the beginning, but it was. Great flash and I hope you make more.

RSQViper responds:

Thank you very much. Glad to see you stuck with it and watched the whole thing.

Amazing.

Great as always, but even better than the others, as there was more of a story element in this one. Oh, and is there really gonna be a movie!?!? At first I laughed at the idea but now im wondering if its true or if its a joke.

Looking forward to more!

DarkMazeStudios responds:

No joke! In fact, the movie came first -- we didn't start making the Bonus Levels cartoons until the movie was already in production. Check out PressStartMovie.com for more info. And thanks!

Hmm..

As many others have said, your style is very similar to that of the maker of Invader Zim. Though I loved Invader Zim, I didn't seem to like this much, but that's only because this one was more sinister. I judged it fairly though, so no worries. I tend to prefer movies with a more positive look, but maybe thats just me.

finrazel responds:

now that right there is a fucking review! thanks for the positive feed back. yeah im moving away from that style. but im moving into a more darker scary style, so you might not like that either haha.
check out the new trailer, search of soxx, its under my new profile

Top notch

I dont know anything about lost, but I am guessing at least one of those parts I dont understand is completely random. What happened at the end? Lol. Anyway those detailed animations were a real treat, this is high quality work right here.

CapnBob responds:

Nothing is entirely random... even the random things are built on or tie into some element or event from the show, though I may take it to a different conclusion!

Good, like the character.

For some reason your character reminds me of earthworm jim, and I know its not just me. Good job on this, it was funny. Keep it up.

Good.

It made me almost laugh at least once (the part when sonicky was singing that song, or, just saying the lyrics), but the voices are just recordings from a microphone, sped up with the computer's sound recorder. You could improve on the voices, like talk a little deeper when you start recording, and make sure none of your recordings have the sound of you breathing into the mic. Now I can imagine this turning out hilarious and very well done, but you have to improve some more before that can happen. I've seen some people who can pull off sprites well, and you can be one of them if you just keep making flashes, the skill will come naturally. Just aim towards making the voices believable, and you'll be in the right direction for improvement.

VitorAraujo responds:

Thanks for being honest, and sonicky was singing, it's because when you use high piched voices it gets faster too, so I had to sing very slow, and that's hard because you never know the right speed, And yes I believe in all that stuff you said, that's why I didn't give up after some blammed flashes I had, and on those blammed flashes there were reviews like yours. Thank you.

Well...

I kinda got the vibe that this was an attempt to go for an FLCL feeling because of the music, but the artwork failed to make it so. Also i think i saw a couple of parts with the same animation used (you made it too obvious). You did okay on art, but the it felt very cartoony, compared to FLCL (like the curved legs with no joint apparent). Pretty good, by making this, you definitely will become better in your next one.

PiGPEN responds:

A couple parts with the same animation? You sure you just didnt watch it twice?

And legs dont need knees in cartoons.

good

Pretty funny. Btw, whats the name of that song that played when Luigi had on the frog suit?

ToonCastleTV responds:

idk :(

A guy who likes art, animation and music.
